Back on the winners’ podium: 3rd place for the Trail/Box 260SD at the GOLDEN REISEMOBIL 2026

In AUTO BILD REISEMOBIL’s major reader poll, “THE GOLDEN MOTORHOME 2026,” the Trail/Box 260SD detachable cabin took third place in the “Camper Vans & Pickups” category out of 122 candidates across nine vehicle and camping classes. Back in 2025, a Tischer model—the Trail 230S—already held the same spot—finishing in the top 3 two years in a row is something to be proud of.

“This award doesn’t come from a jury, but from people who are on the road themselves. That’s exactly what makes it so valuable to us,” says Patrick Sauer, managing director of Tischer GmbH Freizeitfahrzeuge. “The fact that two very different models have made it to the podium in two years shows us that our customers value not just a single product, but the idea behind it: self-sufficient, rugged, and durable.”

The Trail/Box 260SD is designed for anyone who wants to go on long, self-sufficient trips as a couple—whether using a Ford Ranger, Isuzu D-Max, Land Rover Defender, Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux, or VW Amarok Double Cab XL as the base vehicle. Each one is built at the Kreuzwertheim factory with all the equipment and comfort features typical of Tischer, largely by hand—100% Made in Germany.
