From Kreuzwertheim out into the world: today, our company builds demountable cabins for almost every pick-up model available in Germany. With nearly 50 employees, we produce more than 230 cabins each year. Using the finest materials, craftsmanship precision, and true attention to detail, one premium cabin after another is created — top quality “Made in Germany”.
On top of that, we offer a comprehensive service range: we sell all common pick-up models, provide repair and spare parts services, and even fulfil unusual customer requests. And because we stay in close contact with our customers even after the sale, we’re always happy to turn your ideas and suggestions into reality.

Teamwork at Tischer doesn’t just matter in our factory — it’s just as important in the exchange with our customers. They provide us with valuable feedback, fresh ideas, and real insider tips. Some drivers travel many thousands of kilometres each year with their pick-ups and Tischer cabins. We appreciate every experience shared — and we feed new insights straight back into our production.
For us, it’s especially important to keep developing Tischer cabins for real-life travel situations and challenges. Most Tischer drivers use their pick-up every day, for work or leisure. That’s why our cabins must be quick and easy to mount and demount. This makes spontaneous getaways possible, without long conversions or complicated changes.

1973
Our first self-built cabin on a VW platform truck.
1978
Tischer grows: Move into new company building in Wiebelbach.
1980
Brands such as Ford, Mercedes, Mitsubishi and Toyota expand our range of basic vehicles.
1982
Foundation of Tischer GmbH Freizeitfahrzeuge.
1986
The Nissan pick-up becomes the central base vehicle.
1990
Peter Tischer takes over the management.
1990
The TRAIL model series is introduced.
2001
The BOX model series completes the product range.
2013
Anniversary! We are celebrating 40 years of Tischer leisure vehicles.
2013
The new construction and conversion of the company headquarters in Kreuzwertheim is completed.
2014
Record-breaking: The 4,000 Tischer cabin is manufactured.
2015
In the meantime, 178 Tischer cabins are produced every year.
2016
Award win for Tischer: The 260S model is named “The perfect motorhome 2016” by Reisemobilist magazine.
2017
Another award for Tischer: Our TRAIL and BOX models received the “2017 Cabin Seal of Quality for Robust Body Construction”.
2018
More capacity for the future: We are expanding our plant with a new production hall.
2021
The plant continues to grow with the construction of a hall for initial assembly and vehicle conversions.
2022
Generation change: Patrick Sauer takes over the management from his stepfather Peter Tischer.
2023
Tischer is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is ideally positioned for the future – primarily thanks to the expanded production capacities with a new factory hall, the CNC area and the furniture factory.
2024
The Tischer Treffen is already celebrating its 25th anniversary.
