Tischer Freizeitfahrzeuge draws positive conclusions from CMT 2026 trade fair
New VW T7 with TRAIL 280S impresses trade visitors and customers
// NEW: Optimized TRAIL 280S for the first time on the new VW T7
// NEW: 260 SP Flatbed – demountable pick-up cabin for flatbed pick-ups
With a strong presence at CMT 2026 in Stuttgart, Tischer Freizeitfahrzeuge GmbH is consolidating its position as a specialist for pick-up camper cabins in handcrafted quality. The focus of the trade fair appearance from 17 to 25 January 2026 was a real novelty: the optimized TRAIL 280S demountable cabin in combination with the new VW T7, which was presented in this form for the first time at a trade fair. The combination underlines Tischer’s claim to combine practical concepts with long-lasting quality.
Kreuzwertheim. CMT 2026 in Stuttgart proved to be a complete success for Tischer Freizeitfahrzeuge GmbH. From January 17 to 25, numerous trade visitors, long-standing customers and new prospective customers took the opportunity to find out first-hand about the latest developments in the range of dropside cabins directly from the manufacturer at the Tischer stand. Particular attention was paid to the new VW T7 with the floor plan-optimized TRAIL 280S cabin – a combination that was shown for the first time at a trade fair and impressively demonstrates how modern vehicle technology can be combined with proven Tischer quality.
“The response to the new VW T7 with our TRAIL 280S clearly exceeded our expectations. The combination was well received by both the specialist audience and our extended target group of younger people and families,” summarizes Managing Director Patrick Sauer. “Especially in the current market environment, it is important for us to show what Tischer stands for: for substance, for honest craftsmanship and for products that will give pleasure for many years and are designed for sustainable, long-term use.
Product innovation in focus: Optimized TRAIL 280S on the new VW T7
With the revised TRAIL 280S living cabin, Tischer presents a consistent further development of a proven successful model. Developers and designers have specifically optimized the layout and room division of the living cabin to make travelling with VW flatbed vehicles even more comfortable and family-friendly. At the heart of the new concept is a spacious round-table seating group that comfortably seats four people and noticeably enhances the interior. If required, the seating area can be converted into a bed in just a few simple steps. Thanks to a standing height of 2.03 meters, a functionally fully equipped kitchen and a complete bathroom, the TRAIL 280S is also suitable for longer trips without compromising on comfort.
Expertise for flatbeds and high trailer loads
Another highlight at the Tischer stand was the ISUZU D-MAX with a 260 SP flatbed living cabin. Here, Tischer impressively demonstrated its expertise in the field of flatbed concepts and individual superstructures. The continuously flat loading area of the flatbed pick-ups opens up additional freedom in terms of layout, storage space and individual equipment. Depending on customer requirements, the cab can be adapted to provide more sleeping space, a U-shaped seating area or more storage space. A suitable approach for families and all outdoor fans.
Tischer quality as a clear statement in a competitive environment
In addition to the new products, Tischer deliberately used CMT 2026 and the redesigned product catalog and website to clearly position its own core brand values: All Tischer cabins are handcrafted at the Kreuzwertheim site in Franconia. The shell in robust aluminum plywood hard foam sandwich construction ensures high stability, excellent insulation and a particularly long service life – a quality promise that is particularly reflected in the “Tischer Classic” range. Many Tischer cabins have been in use for decades and impressively demonstrate the sustainability and lasting value of the products.
“We don’t see ourselves as a supplier of mass-produced goods,” emphasizes Patrick Sauer. “TISCHER is the original. Our customers consciously opt for something special – for robustness, durability and quality that you can see and feel. That is our clear claim, today and in the future.”
